Measured Building Surveys
This survey method involves the preparation of detailed floor plans of existing buildings and other structures, where no current plans exist.
This service is not only required for older historic or listed buildings, but is also frequently being used on more contemporary structures, where design drawings have been lost or where the constructed building may have deviated from the proposed design.
Architects and consulting engineers frequently need detailed measured surveys on which to develop new proposals for extension or modification works and require accurate detail drawings of the existing structure, on which to base their new design proposals.
All survey works are undertaken using Electronic Distance Measurement (EDM) total stations, in conjunction with hand held lasers, to ensure the correct degree of linear and rotational accuracy and all data can be output in a variety of electronic or hard copy formats, to suit the individual client's preference.
By using this facility, engineers and architects do not need to utilise valuable staff to undertake this type of survey work and can concentrate their resources on the detail analysis and design for the new development works.
